Optimum Nutrition, best known for their Gold Standard line of proteins, was looking to launch a new brand targeted to and tailored for athletes over 40 who are starting to feel the effects of aging, but want to maintain an active lifestyle and high quality of life. ON tapped SRG to develop the new brand, and I had the exciting opportunity to help create the brand strategy, identity, and packaging. My design below was selected for launch in 2017. Disappointingly, the product has yet to go to market as the client decided not to invest in the launch. Hopefully we’ll see it pop up on the market someday.
I designed the logo to be strong and bold to appeal to the performance-minded athlete. The abstract, graphic references to mountains reflect that "stay at your peak" mentality—just because you're over 40 doesn't mean you have to be over the hill.
